A Journey to Being an Independent Researcher
Hendra Bunyamin is an associate professor who graduated from Mathematics department Bandung Institute of Technology and Software Engineering, Informatics department from the same university.
He is very passionate about teaching. Mainly, he teaches mathematics, artificial intelligence (AI), and programming.
His research interests are applying machine learning algorithms into various problems.
During his undergraduate study, he studied Statistics under the guidance of Pak Sutawanir Darwis. His undergraduate final project was spatial prediction using Kriging which was also known as Gaussian process regression.
He took his master study in Software Engineering. Furthermore, his master thesis explored Latent Semantic Indexing and his advisor was Pak Rila Mandala.
His interest in Machine Learning started when he took Stanford Machine Learning course by Andrew Ng in Coursera. The way Andrew Ng taught has inspired him and since then he have been exploring and learning machine learning and its applications. Additionally, Nanodegree program at Udacity has solidified his understanding about Machine Learning and Deep Learning.
Moreover, Hendra Bunyamin has taken two certifications in AI in Huawei and NVIDIA. He is a Huawei Academy Certified Instructor and NVIDIA Instructor.
This website also features blogs on Mathematics, Machine Learning, and Statistics. The blogs are available in the language indicated in their titles. Blog titles beginning with “EN” are written in English, while those beginning with “ID” are written in Indonesian. I hope you enjoy the blogs as much as I enjoy writing them. Cheers!
